Although Pattaya is not as popular for shopping as Bangkok, it’s quite a good place to buy simple things such as clothes. Prices are reasonable and the selection is quite good, as long as you know where to shop and where to avoid.
In this guide, I would like to talk about the best places to shop in Pattaya, as well as the best products you can expect to find in each mall. You will find my top recommendations and advice below:
Central Festival is easily the largest shopping mall in Pattaya. It is simply gigantic, with the new Hilton Hotel on the upper floors and several floors of retail stores, a cinema and other shops in the main shopping area. If you want brand names or high street items, this is the place to spend your time in Pattaya.
Mike Shopping Mall is a smaller shopping mall on Beach Road, I assume owned by Mike, which is popular for tourists. The clothing and items here are nothing special — you can expect the usual Thai tourist t-shirts, jeans belts, and some other items. This shopping mall is really not so special aside from the low prices of items.
Outlet Mall Pattaya is a small mall on Second Road in Pattaya that is famous for discount sales on brand name items. The selection at this mall is not very good and the brands available are often quite dull and boring. However, this is a good place to shop for running shoes if you can find brands such as New Balance and Nike on discount.
Where do you like to shop in Pattaya?
I like to shop, and although Bangkok is better it is still possible to shop for most things here in Pattaya without having to drive to the main capital city. Where do you like to shop in Pattaya, and what do you like to buy?
